Digital Cameras to Inspire Performance

Canon PowerShot SD960 IS Digital ELPH ($329.99)
"We have a new technology called Active Display," said Romeo of Canon. "Instead of a touchscreen, the customer just tilts the camera to the right or left like an iPhone."
Available in the elegant, beautiful PowerShot SD960 IS, Active Display will attract those who are drawn to iPhone's cool handling. Available in subtle colors, including silver, blue, pink and gold, this 12.1-megapixel camera features simple button layout, widescreen 2.8-inch PureColor LCD II screen and an improved user interface. Additional features include Smart AUTO, blink detection, wide-angle lens and 4x optical zoom with optical image stabilization. It can shoot 720p HD video and has an on-camera HDMI connector for easy playback.
Nikon Coolpix S230 ($229.95)
This new addition from Nikon incorporates a touchscreen LCD, offering the cutting edge of elegant design and intuitive operation. It combines a 3.0-inch high-resolution touch-panel LCD design with a graphic interface that lets users switch modes, view and edit images and change camera settings with a touch of the screen.
"Touch technology is one of the hottest things in consumer electronics today, and our new S230 is no different," said Giordano for Nikon. "With the S230, our touch screen brings a new level of sophistication and interaction to consumers, by putting the power of the camera right at their fingertips."
Beyond just operating the 10-megapixel camera's functions, touch controls empower users to have some fun with their photos. They can use the Draw Function and the stylus that comes with the camera to write or draw on pictures, and the Paint Function allows them to add fun frames or stamps to the picture. But don't worry, if you use these features, the camera saves the images as copies, so the original is not lost if you want to start the fun all over again.
Once again bringing color to the mix, the S230 is available in plum, jet black, night blue, gloss red and warm silver.
